Prickly Pear

Opuntia ficus-indica, better known as Barbary fig or Prickly pear, is a cactus originating in Mexico, which grows in tropical and subtropical regions but also spreads over the Mediterranean coast.
Its edible fruits are small and covered with thin thorns. They are juicy and have a subtle flowery aroma.
In cosmetics, prickly pear’s richness in vitamins and minerals contributes to protect the epidermis, maintains skin moisturization and limits the effects of ageing on the skin.
